If you enjoy your Templeton Rye with a splash of history, we would love to have you visit our distillery. We typically hold open tours a couple of times per month on dates when guests can see all aspects of our operation including fermentation, distillation and bottling. Templeton Rye distillery tours include a guided walk through our production area, barrel warehouse, bottling line and grand tasting room.
Our tours last approximately 45 minutes and start at 10:00 am and 11:00 am only during the days listed below. Templeton Rye distillery tours are free of charge. Currently we do not sell product at the distillery. A map and directions are posted below.
Tour dates and times must be reserved through our Distillery Manager, Kevin Boersma, at

Hi!
We are having a family reunion in Carroll, IA. We think it would be a shame to not stop by and check things out. Any tours available on Saturday, June 27? How many people can go on a tour?
Thanks,
Colleen

Hello-
I was wondering; do you have a tour date set for September yet?
Thank you,
Kat.

Will you have tours in September 2009?
If you do not sell on the premise where can I buy?
Our local HyVee got a shipment of 6 bottles the 1st of August. I bought one to take as a gift to my Alaska family, and One bottle went as a gift with a Russian guest. It is a great Iowa gift with a wonderful story. And it is so smooth, even for those of us who rarely drink anything but a bit of wine.
I’ll look for your reply. Thanks

Ginni,
We will be having distillery tour dates in September and hope to have them posted soon. Thank you for your patience.
Also, thank you for sharing the gift of TR with your friends from Alaska and Russia. Regarding where you can purchase TR - unfortunately, we are not able to sell product at our distillery. Individual stores order directly from the State so we do not know exactly who has our product at a given point in time and the State limits each license holder to 1 case of Templeton Rye per week. Your best chance to find our product is to search several different stores during the first couple of weeks of the month.
Cheers,
-The Templeton Rye Team

I was wondering if you are planning on coming out with a decorative box for the holidays? When are your next tours in October? We would like to come for a visit.
We certainly enjoy your fine product!

Hey, it’s great to get your tour dates! I hope I can finally get my husband there to see your fine distillery and hear your stories first hand! I have been telling almost everyone I see about your product. To my surprise I have had several tell me stories of their own! How fun to have them talk about it with the same passion as the folks on your Youtube channel! Keep up the good work and thank you!

I understand your most recent batch of rye became available the end of October and am wondering if this is accurate and how I can buy more. I live in West Des Moines and would be willing to make a trip to your distillery if that would help. As you probably recognize, I’m having trouble getting it from local retailers. I’m open to any suggestions. I’ve spoken to your representative at the Des Moines farmers market and understand availability should be improving by now.

I am also having an impossible time finding the product in West Des Moines. I was under the impression that there would be a large batch available for Oct & Nov but the liquor managers at the Hy-Vees I talk to say they still only get 6 & its not even every week.

I am having a lot f difficulty getting my hands on a bottle of rye. Any suggestions as to where to look? I would be willing to drive just about anywhere. Thanks
