I am used to buying Templeton at Costco in WDM but the last 3-4 times I have went there, they are out and they tell me they are not sure when they are getting any more. Are you not selling it to them anymore?
    Is there a company backorder?
Are you still selling it to HyVee and Dahl’s?

    Thanks,

    Bruce Arnold

My husband and I recently attended the Griffin Tutoring benefit in Chicago at River Arts Gallery. Your whiskey bar set up was amazing. Your rep Kaitlin and bartender Crystal really know the product and did a great sales job. I loved learning the history behind the Rye… Good Job hiring these girls!!!

I am a Templeton on My grandmothers side from Eddyville. Think we are related? Of all of the whiskeys that I have drank over my 49 years, I have never enjoyed any more than yours. It just tastes …familiar.. hmm.. Keep up the good work. Russ

    Gentlemen,
Please do not rush the good stuff. I know in this day everyone wants it now. It is good to have to wait and anticipate your next bottle. Why rush to mass quantities of $10.00 a bottle rye to flood the market. Your claim is small batch high quality with a taste that brings back memorys of family events and the good old days. Back then everything took time. I will gladly pay a higher price to have you continue what you have now.
    Thanks,
I will be sipping on my current bottle while I patiently wait for my next. All good things come to those who wait.

We had the great privlidge to be dinner companions with Imelda and Meryl Kerkhoff on the train in Boone Iowa. We enjoyed the stories that Imelda and Meryl shared with us during the 2 hour train ride. We learned about their children and grandchildren, and some great stories about Templeton Rye whiskey. This was our first train ride, and one we will never foget.

    Train ride was $110.00
    Wine was $5.00
Conversation with Imelda & Meryl was PRICELESS!

I first tasted Templeton Rye in Chicago this past Spring when we traveled there for my daughter’s graduation from the Art Institute. Needless to say, I was an instant fan. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any to purchase before we drove back to NY. Thanks to the internet I was able to order three bottles. Last week I shared some Templeton with my poker buddies and they were totally awestruck by its flavor and character. This is a tough bunch to impress but Templeton impressed! In spades!!

My girl Laura and I just got back from the rock and rye fest and wanted to thank you and your employees for a memorable and great time. I look forward to meeting you again and will wear the t-shirt you signed with pride. I know it made my day to get all three of you to sign that shirt. I cannot wait to find my next bottle. Even though it’s hard to find right now the “hunt” makes it all the better to drink in the end. Keep up the good work!!!

In August I was in in Reno for some fun and a golf tournament. My brother had somewhere aquired a bottle of Templton Rye, knowing that this is the only type of whiskey I like he had kept it, unopened, for quite sometime. After a pretty good bad on the course , and a fine dinner. He brought it out. Without a doubt, it is ” The Good Stuff.” As soon as i returned home here in Oregon, I went on the net and found your site, and thanks to Binny’s I now have a few bottles of “The Good Stuff”. I will be enjoying it for quite some time. After all I consider it to be a sipping Whiskey.

I am preparing a large batch of mead (a show Cyser) in which I will be using honey exclusively from Iowa apiaries and apples from Iowa orchards. How nice would it be to age this in a Templeton Rye barrel and fortify it with a bit of Templeton Rye? Do you folks sell any of your barrels and if so, how much would one cost?

Was working in Clarinda, Ia this last month and discovered Templeton rye at the local Liquor store. The lady working there told me the story and gave me a copy of an article on the rye whiskey. Bought a bottle and become an instant fan. Went back a week later and bought out the store, both bottles. Excellent stuff, will have to stock up next time I go to Iowa.

  12. Deanna Read Kelley Says:

I grew up in the town of Templeton, Iowa. My father and mother, Wayne and Lorene Read, had the locker plant on the corner across from the grocery store. My fondest memories of childhood are in Templeton. If I wasn’t at home, I was out on the farm of Gin and Clipper Knobbee. I had heard of Templeton Rye, but until now didn’t know it was available retail. I am awaiting a bottle of the “good stuff” to be shipped from my mother in Minnesota. Brings back a lot of good memories seeing the photos of the staff…Merlyn, Pat, and Gin. Keep up the good work and can’t wait to get my first taste of the infamous Templeton Rye.

  13. Mark Nagel Says:

With 2 kids at ISU and paying out of state tuition, I need a very smooth rye…works well when I’m paying the bills…I’ve been drinking Old Overholt since my days at Ohio State, so when the bartender suggested Templeton Rye at the Gateway Hotel, I went for it…helps me get thru those Minnesota winters! I think 2 fingers of that rye every night will keep me alive and prevent my wife from collecting on those insurance policies!

  14. Angela Dearking Says:

I wanted to surprise my husband with a bottle of Templeton Rye for Christmas but had to put my name on a wait list at all the local Hy-Vee stores in the Quad Cities since nothing was immediately available. Fortunately, since we live on the IA/IL border, I was able to locate several bottles in IL, but only purchased ONE since I didn’t want to be greedy! Then a few days before Christmas, my husband got a message that his Templeton Rye was in!! I was not happy that my surprise was foiled, but he made the purchase, so now we have extra to share!

  15. darrell schumacher Says:

I have known the Kerkhoff Family for close to 40 years they are salt of the earth people that sure make good rye! Take care Meryl and we are praying for you.
